The date for the 2022 Horseman's Market Day will be Saturday, August 20.
Move-in for all vendors will be Friday from 5-9 PM and Sat from 6 AM.
Market Day will be open to shoppers from 8-2 on Saturday. There is NO CHARGE for coming to shop, and there is PLENTY of free parking, and a concession stand run by the EXPO. You may bring in food for yourself, but not for distribution/sale, and there are bleachers so you can take a break.
There will be a wide variety of both new and used equine-related items. Last year jewelry, pillows, clothing, saddles, tack, and horse trailers were all for sale, some inside, some outside, and we’ve even had blacksmith demonstrations, and a clipper sharpening/repair trailer. Please ask at the Registration Table to see the list of vendors and what they are selling.
You can also have your name added to the email list for notification of next year’s event. It is always the third Saturday in August.
The facility is not air-conditioned, but there are large ceiling fans, which in the past have managed to keep it quite comfortable. The floor inside the pavilion consists of packed clay. Please dress accordingly.
Most vendors prefer cash but some will take checks or credit cards. The transactions are completely between each independent vendor and the buyers – the club is not responsible for, and does not guarantee anything bought or sold during Horsemen's Market Day; we simply provide the venue. There may or may not be an ATM there, and there are none within several miles of the EXPO, so bring your cash to make sure you don’t miss out on a great deal!
If your reservation payment is postmarked by August 5th, the Early Bird cost of a 10x10 booth is $30, and with an Early Bird Special, you can buy 3 booths and get one free, i.e. four booths for $90.
NO FIREARMS ARE ALLOWED FOR SALE.
This is a tack sale, please sell only items related to horses. If you have horses, mules, or donkeys for sale NO LIVE ANIMALS CAN BE SOLD AT THIS FACILITY. You can advertise them for sale through fliers, videos, business cards, or something similar, but do not bring live animals to the Horse Market Day.
If you have prepaid, you will be on the fast track and your booth assignment will be expedited in the parking lot, and there will be no delay in finding your spot. If you have not prepaid, please come in, pick a booth, fill out the form and pay for your booth at the Registration Table.
Booths are $40 each at the door, and the Early Bird Special does not apply. This means if you wait until the day of the Horse Market Day to buy 4 booths it will cost you $70 more. Plan ahead and rent your booth via mail by August 5.
RV spaces will be available for $35 from BVDRC at the check-in desk until 7 pm on Friday. You can pick your own spot. No overnight free-standing trailers are allowed to camp in the parking lot, per Brazos County Expo rules.
Vender's set up and move-in is from 5 to 9 pm on Friday and from 6 am on Saturday.
Please do not arrive early, as the building will be closed.
Electricity is available and included with the vendor's booth price. Please remember to bring your own extension cords, tables/chairs/stands/racks/etc. Hand carts or wagons may be brought, but they cannot be left in aisles or blocking doors. We will not have any type of vehicle or personnel to help you unload.
NO VEHICLES MAY ENTER the Pavilion other than on the asphalt lane between the pavilion and the arena. THIS WILL BE POSTED ONE WAY, GOING FROM SOUTH TO NORTH. Follow the signs.
THIS LANE IS FOR UNLOADING AND LOADING ONLY. NO PARKING. For Fire Lane safety, please be polite and move your vehicle as soon as you are unloaded so that someone else may unload/load.
There will be a concession stand for your convenience, and you are also welcome to bring your own sack lunch and/or snacks and drinks, but the EXPO asks that you DO NOT bring food or drink for sale or distribution to the public. No Bake Sales!
Remember, the sale of horses or other animals may be advertised by poster only. Bring your own blue tape!
